Summer Focusing
Weekly group - Self-touch and the inner child

To be there for the parts of yourself that need it
To relax your nervous system
When you want to stand in your power
We come together weekly to listen to our body and touch it in different ways — flowing like water, soft like air, or in a grounding way. It gives strength to take care of ourselves. And touch is a language that our inner child often understands better than words. The combination of inner child work, touch, and Focusing is unique to Summer Focusing. At a certain point, each group session carries the quality of an individual session — regulating, gentle, healing. While the group brings an additional quality of being together.
The meetings consist of three parts
1. Self-touch and listening to your body
We begin with a meditation in which we bring our attention to the body and ask what it needs. This way of attuning creates relaxation and opens you to touch. We explore different forms of touch—from subtle to more grounded—guided by the four elements. Each type of touch has its own effect, ranging from calming to energizing, from warming to grounding.

2. Inner child work
The parts of us that we carry because they haven’t been fully integrated often live on as inner children. Gradually, we begin to connect with them. We explore what they need—whether that’s touch or being heard—and offer them what they long for. This way of listening to ourselves, while using touch and silence to support the process, can be deeply healing.
Not every session an inner child will appear. Sometimes we simply stay present with our adult self and what we need in the here and now.

3. A sharing round
A defining element of Summer Focusing is the sharing rounds that arise from contact with the body. When we put our experience into words, we bring it into relationship with another. When both the person sharing and the listener remain connected to their bodies, something meaningful unfolds. Focusing becomes a shared process. This deepens the experience and creates a sense of closeness.
We take a moment to check in with ourselves about what we want to carry forward from the experience, and then each continue on our own path.
