Summer writing invites you to let the words flow that are forming within. The Focusing meditation gently helps you land in your body. The writing is done individually. Sometimes a feeling emerges, a few words, or a piece of writing that brings you closer to yourself.

Afterwards, there's time to be heard or to be inspired by someone else’s words. I will create a safe space for this that is characteristic of Summer Focusing — rooted in the body and the sensations within it.

Each meeting consists of three parts:

1. Listening to our body

We begin with a meditation in which we bring our attention to the body. Our head, heart, pelvic floor, or skin often hold different sensations, feelings, or messages for us — while they can also tell a story together.

We listen, take the time to land more deeply, and sense what we need. Perhaps a form of intimacy — an arm around us, eye contact, someone who hears us. Or a certain landscape — a forest, a quiet beach, a place to retreat.

In this way, we create a safe space to write from. And then the words often begin to flow on their own. Inspired. Bringing to the surface what was still hidden.

2. An embodied writing prompt

It may be that the focusing meditation we begin with inspires you to write. It may also be that you prefer to be given a starting point — a question, an image, or another way in.

That’s why I weave an idea or a prompt into the meditation — as an invitation.

3. Sharing experiences

Our writing doesn’t have to be correctly spelled, beautiful, or finished. What matters is the process of exploring ourselves.

We can keep our writing to ourselves, as an intimate moment. But we can also share it in a safe way – with people who listen from their bodies. Maybe an image or emotion surfaces while listening to each other words. This way, our pieces gain value and connect us to each other. We wrap things up with a shared closing.

Practical Information

  • Zoom: We meet via Zoom; you'll receive the link in advance.

  • Duration: 60 minutes.

  • Time: Every Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM CEST.

  • Cost: €15 for a trial session / €110 per 3 months.
